Colin Watters is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who joined The Retirement Planning Group from Watters Financial Services. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Iona University and a Master’s Degree in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning, Colin has been shaping his career in finance since 2012. For over a decade, he was a partner in his family’s wealth management firm.

Colin thrives on being outdoors, whether hiking, canoeing, biking, or visiting the ocean. Recently, he has taken up horseback riding. An avid learner, he enjoys well-produced documentaries and how-to books. His love for travel has taken him to diverse destinations like South Africa, Tanzania, India, Finland, Estonia, and France.

Colin resides in northern New Jersey with his wife, Kelly. They have a beautiful son, Finn, who tragically passed away in 2023 after 18 precious months. Colin lives each day in Finn’s memory, striving to make him proud as part of The Retirement Planning Group team. He is also actively involved with The SUDC Foundation, supporting their fundraising efforts.
