Meet Jake Traen

Jake, a recent graduate from Iowa State University, brings a fresh perspective to The Retirement Planning Group as an Investment Associate. Jake plays a key role in executing trades and managing client portfolios. His work is centered on ensuring accurate, timely transactions and providing thoughtful financial insights to support clients’ retirement goals.

Jake earned his B.S. in Business Economics from Iowa State University, where he was actively involved in multiple campus organizations. His experience working with Sporting Kansas City and the ISU Athletic Department highlighted his passion for sports and financial management. Throughout his academic and professional journey, Jake developed a wide range of skills and interests, consistently finding joy in finances and helping people. These passions ultimately guided his decision to join TRPG, where he looks forward to making a meaningful impact.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys an active lifestyle, including exercising, running, and spending time outdoors. He loves sports and new experiences, never missing an opportunity to attend a concert, sporting event, or travel.
