Meet Andrea Rafter

Andrea started her career in financial services as a paralegal in the legal department of a financial firm. When the legal and compliance departments merged, she quickly picked up skills in marketing review and licensing and registration. Today, as a Compliance Analyst, Andrea supports the Chief Compliance Officer with the regulatory supervision of the firm.

With a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, Andrea’s journey has taken her through roles in retail merchandising and customer service. Seeking better work-life balance, she moved into the legal field, starting as a file clerk in a mining company before being promoted to paralegal. Andrea thrives on working with people and loves finding efficient solutions to problems.

Andrea lives with her son and two cats. She’s an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying activities like hiking, paddle boarding, and gardening. When she’s not outside, you might find her on the dance floor or in the DJ booth at weekly West Coast swing dances in the area.
